I'm just getting access denied and other errors even though I've propogated admin ownership on the entire share and forced inherited permissions on all child folders with no errors. The problem seems to be due to gigabytes of f*****-up files.
I then turned to my trusty (not so) secret weapon, Richcopy, but even that hasn't worked-it just bombs out and closes when it runs into an error. Xcopy and Robocopy are faster, but they have the same memory limitation as Windows file copy. I didn't use regular Windows 2003 file copy because it's slow as crap and it bombs out on large files.
I'm doing a large data dump project to USB hard drives and I'm having the damnedest time copying files over from my shares.
